Iliokai Kauai

Iliokai is a Poipu, Kauai-based clothing and accessories brand with a mission to raise awareness about the protection, conservation, and recovery of Hawaii’s endangered state mammal, the Hawaiian Monk Seal. We offer comfortable, high-quality tees, hats, plushies, beach towels, and other products with a playful image of the friends we share the beach and ocean with. Proceeds from sales go to support the seals.

Iliokai (pronounced “ee-lee-oh-kai”) translates to “Sea Dog” in Hawaiian. This is the informal shorthand word for the Hawaiian Monk Seal. The more formal name is `Īlio holo i ka uaua which translates to “Dog that Runs in the Rough Water.”
